Osho International Foundation
Osho International Foundation in Switzerland a non profit foundation is the registered copyright owner of all the published and unpublished Works by Osho and the owner of other intellectual property including the trademark OSHO and ancillary rights, music, photos, art, images related to Osho and/or Osho International Foundation.
Since 1985 Osho International Foundation has been responsible for licensing and sublicensing publication rights to the works in all media formats to related foundations, to publishing houses, Television stations, magazines, newspapers and web pages around the world.
Osho International Foundation is represented to the international publishing world through 'Osho International,' a licensing office in New York. Osho International Foundation also maintains the original Osho Archive of 6,500 audio discourse recordings, 1,870 video recordings and approximately 600 original book publications of Osho's daily talks, as well as the large art and music archive.
More than 220 publishing houses in more than 80 countries around the world have publishing licenses signed with the foundation. Currently we have 2,537 active publishing contracts in a total of 54 languages around the world. Each contract represents one Osho book reaching thousand of readers. Total annual sales are now close to 3 million copies - 10 to 15 times the volume of sales during Osho's lifetime. In 2004 alone Osho International signed 395 publishing agreements for Osho titles worldwide - the equivalent of more than one new Osho title or reprint per day.
The list of international publishers include the world's largest and most influential publishing houses, such as Random House, New York, St. Martin's Press, Barnes & Noble Publishers New York, Mondadori and Bompiani in Italy, Random House-Mondadori, Grupo Planeta and Editorial Norma in Spain and South America, Random House in Germany, AST-Premiere in Russia, SONY-Music, TIMES OF INDIA (music division), BMG and Penguin Publishing in India. All of these publishers carry Osho books in publishing programs - many of them with 15-30 titles in one program.
The foundation makes Osho's work also available through this OSHO website (www.osho.com), in 13 languages with the Osho Archive available in digital format. The site has more than 7 Millions visitors per year..
